RMÂ STATEMENT OF BASIC BELIEFS
As Rooted Ministries, we believe in the following statements of faith:
SCRIPTURE
Scripture, comprised of the Old and New Testaments, is the divinely inspired, infallible, and powerful Word of God, the complete revelation of God’s will for the salvation of mankind, the divine and final authority for life, and the story of God’s interaction with His people (Ps. 119; Isa. 55:11; 2 Tim. 3:14-17; Heb. 4:12).

GOD
There is one God, creator of all things, infinitely perfect, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit – the Trinity. Three distinct co-equal persons, in one unique Godhead (Gen. 1-2; Deut. 6:4; Isa. 48:16; John 14:26; 2 Cor. 13:14; Eph. 4:4-6; Col. 1:16-17).

GOD THE FATHER
God the Father, Yahweh (the LORD), revealed Himself through the Scriptures of the Old Testament as the one true, eternal, all-wise, all-powerful, all-knowing, all-loving, personal, sovereign, Creator God. Yahweh continues to reveal Himself in the New Testament – primarily through sending His Son Yeshua the Messiah (Jesus Christ) to earth and through the Holy Spirit (Ex. 3:13-15; Ps. 99; Isa. 43:10-13; John 14:16-17;Heb. 1:2-3).

GOD THE SON
God the Son, Yeshua (Jesus), humbled Himself in becoming flesh and coming to dwell among mankind. He was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, and lived a sinless life. He ushered in the kingdom of God on earth through acts of love, proclaiming truth, and a multitude of miracles. Fulfilling prophesies of the Old Testament, Yeshua died on the cross as the ultimate, once-for-all, perfect sacrifice for our sins; therefore, fulfilling all the blood sacrifices of the former Covenant and becoming the only grounds of redemption. He conquered death and arose from the grave! Then, He ascended into heaven, where at the right hand of the Father, He is now our High Priest and Advocate (Ps. 22; Isa. 53; Matt. 1:18-23; John 1:1, 14; Acts 2:22-24; Rom. 3:21-26; 8:34; Phil. 2:5-11; Heb. 1:1-3; 9:11-15; 10:10-14).

GOD THE SPIRIT
God the Holy Spirit is the third member of the Trinity. Throughout the Old Testament, the Spirit comes upon and empowers specific people at specific times to speak words from Yahweh and/or accomplish His deeds. With the new covenant in place, the Holy Spirit indwells all believers – convicting of sin, guiding, regenerating, instructing, interceding, empowering, gifting the believer for godly living and service, and acting as a deposit that seals their inheritance in heaven (Gen. 1:2; Ex. 31:1-3; 1 Sam. 16:13; Ezk. 36:22-32; John 14:16-17, 26; 16:7-14; Rom. 8; I Cor. 2:10-16; 12; Gal. 5:16-26; Eph. 1:13-14; 3:16-20).

PEOPLE
People were created in the image of God and for perfect communion with God; but then sin entered the world, bringing death and separating them from God. BUT the story doesn’t end there! From the beginning, the Old Testament points to the coming One who will bring redemption. This is fulfilled in the New Testament, when Yeshua the Messiah comes to dwell on earth. His shed holy blood on the cross and His resurrection provide the only grounds for the eternal justification (being accounted righteous before a holy God) and salvation for all who believe. Only those who follow Yeshua by faith are indwelt by the Holy Spirit, become the children of Yahweh, and are restored to right relationship with God (Gen. 1-3; Isa. 52-53; Rom. 3:21-26; 6; 8; Eph. 2; Col. 1:13-23; Heb. 8; 10; 1 John 5:11-13).

THE CHURCH
The Church is composed of all believers, Jew and Gentile, who, through saving faith in Yeshua, have been regenerated by the Holy Spirit. All believers are spiritually bonded together and specifically gifted by the Holy Spirit to form the body of Yeshua, of which He is the Head, for their own edification, as well as the benefit of the community of believers as a whole. This world-wide community of faith is God’s primary means of ushering in His Kingdom on earth, spreading the story of redemption, and declaring His glory, goodness, and love to all (Acts 2:42-47; 1 Cor. 12; Eph. 2:11-20; Col. 1:18; I Pet. 2:9-10; Heb. 10:24-25).

ISRAEL
God has neither rejected nor replaced His chosen people, the Jews. The restoration of the Jewish people to the Land of Israel is a fulfillment of prophetic Scriptures of the Old Testament, and the restored Nation of Israel has a predominant role to play in the final purposes of God among the nations. As Gentile believers, we have been grafted into the olive branch of the Jews, whose root is Yeshua the Messiah. We as Christians are called to bless and support Israel (Gen. 12:1-3; Deut. 11:12; Isa. 11:11-16; 2:1-4; Jer. 31:35-37; Rom. 11; Rev. 22:16).

END TIMES
God, in His own time and in His own way, will bring the world to its appropriate end. According to His promise, Yeshua the Messiah, King of Israel and Savior of the world, will return personally and visibly in glory to the earth; the dead will be raised; and Yeshua will judge all people in righteousness. The unrighteous will be consigned hell (the place of everlasting punishment) along with Satan and the demons. Sin will have been defeated forever. The New Jerusalem, the holy city of God, inhabited by God Himself, will come to earth and the great divide will be no more. Believers, in their resurrected and glorified bodies, will receive their reward, and will dwell with God forever (Zech. 14; Acts 1:11; 1 Thes. 4:13-5:11; Rev. 19-22).
